Details: East London NHS Foundation Trust is a mental health trust which provides services to the City of London, the London Boroughs of Hackney, Tower Hamlets and Newham. The Trust also provides forensic services to the London Boroughs of Barking and Dagenham, Havering, Redbridge and Waltham Forest, and provides some specialist mental health services to North London, Hertfordshire and Essex. We provide a range of community, outpatient and inpatient services for children and young people, adults and older people. The Trusts Headquarters are located in Tower Hamlets. We operate from 47 community sites, four main inpatient sites and have 660 inpatient beds. The Trust has an income of £184.7 million and most of this comes from our local Primary Care Trusts. The Trust is linked with the University of London, City University and South Bank University. Specialty Doctor in Forensic Rehabilitation Psychiatry- Fixed Term 12 months renewable contract 10 Programmed Activities. We are looking for a specialty doctor in psychiatry. The post is based in the rehabilitation service at the Centre for Forensic Mental Health, Kenworthy Road, London E9 5DT. The post holder will join a multi-disciplinary team providing care for 16 inpatients in a medium secure rahbilitation ward. An interest in long-term mental illness and skills in team work are important. Opportunities to develop skills in risk management and the use of various treatment modalities are available, as is an active in-house education programme You will be enthusiastic, have excellent interpersonal skills and be committed to high standards of inpatient care, have completed relevant full-time hospital service at SHO grade or higher and have experience of working within inpatient settings. Section 12 approval will be essential In return you can expect to work in a committed and supportive service, with the opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills in the assessment and treatment of mentally ordered offenders.
