Details: ************PREVIOUS APPLICANTS NEED NOT APPLY************* Due to an exciting service reconfiguration, we are seeking two experienced and highly motivated Band 7 Occupational Therapists to enable us to develop the existing Occupational Therapy to the trauma and Orthopaedic wards and the Acute Medical Unit here at Southampton General Hospital. This is a great opportunity to work as part of an integrated Therapy Team and to promote and develop the Therapy service. Part time hours would be considered, (not less than 26 hours per week) and the post holder will need to be able to work flexibly across 7 days, covering weekends and Bank holidays on a rota basis. You also need to be able to drive in order to carry out home visits. The integrated Therapy Services Department is a lively, friendly and dynamic department, which has over 150 staff, both qualified and unqualified. Southampton University Hospitals NHS Trust is a large teaching hospital and we strive to deliver a seamless service to its users, whilst actively promoting continuing professional development within the Therapy department. There is access to good research resources within the hospital and many varied opportunities to participate in training and development of undergraduate therapists due to our close links with Southampton University. We welcome all enquiries as we continue to develop our Therapy Services department in line with the future needs of the Trust. We would strongly advise an informal visit prior to interview – please phone or e-mail to arrange.
