Clinical Psychologist
Fixed term contract 1 year
This position will offer an invaluable experience to be part of a well established Adult Mental Health Team covering the whole of Cornwall
You will be responsible for implementing a range of psychological interventions for individuals, carers, families and groups. You must be able to communicate in a skilled and sensitive manner, highly complex information concerning the assessment, formulation and treatment plans of clients under your care and to monitor progress during the course of both uni-and multi-disciplinary care.
An interest or speciality in CBT, CAT, DBT, motivational interviewing or other collaborative model of psychological therapy is desirable. There will be scope for developing new ideas, including initiating and evaluating innovative practice and treatment approaches in an eclectic ethos.
Clinical/professional development is accorded high priority and the post combines clinical work with the possibility of research and teaching.
You will be a member of, and supported by, the Cornwall Partnership Trust’s large clinical psychology service, comprising all the major specialities. There are strong links with the southwest clinical psychology training programme and you would have the opportunity to develop supervisory skills. The service also has close links with its users and carers.
This is a fulltime post working 37.5 hours per week. Job share will be considered.
