Details: West London Mental Health NHS Trust provides a full range of local mental health services to the London boroughs of Ealing, Hammersmith and Fulham, and Hounslow as well as specialist forensic mental health services, including high secure services at Broadmoor Hospital across a wider catchment area.
The above post is available only from 31st March 2010 until 31st March 2011 as 12 Months Fixed Term Contract.
The post holder will form part of a strongly established well regarded Tier 2 psychology service within a primary care setting in a fashionable part of Hammersmith.
The post holder will have strong links with the local CAMHS Tier 3 and Tier 2 services and primary care CAMHS workers. The post holder will form part of a team of clinical psychologists working within various parts of the CAMHS Tier 2 and Tier 3 service. Clinical supervision and line management will be provided by the Consultant Lead Clinical Psychologist. Weekly academic workshops, business and clinical governance meetings and some referral screening meetings take place within the CAMHS Tier 3 service, in Wolverton Gardens, within walking distance. Attendance on Thursday is essential.
The post provides a major pillar of support to the local CAMHS Tier 3 service, alongside other Tier 2 CAMHS services traditionally covering less complex acute cases with difficulties in one area of the young child, school aged child or adolescent as life. The post holder will form a mini-multidisciplinary Tier 2 team with 2 newly appointed primary mental health care workers also providing consultation and training to primary care staff.
The post holder needs to be committed to offering short-term child focussed interventions and have a range of child focussed behavioural, cognitive behavioural and systemic age appropriate interventions at hand. Psychometric assessments skills are also required.
