of less experienced staff and students. There is a well-structured
hand/ upper limb therapy professional development programme which
combines journal reviews, in-service training and clinical skills
training, access to relevant OT and PT teaching programmes, weekly
meetings with the orthopaedic consultants and possibility for funding
for external courses.
You will lead a team, which includes a band 7 occupational therapist,
a rotational band 6 OT and a part time OT assistant, who work
alongside a clinical lead physiotherapist (PT), and a band 7 and band
6 PT. This post offers an excellent opportunity to practice and
develop your skills within a supportive, friendly and learning
environment. The service provides both trust-based and practice-based
sessions and currently operates a nine day fortnight system for
weekday working hours. The outpatient upper limb therapy department
is situated in a purpose built facility, with easy access to all
other outpatient and inpatient departments.
