Details: We seek to appoint a Clinical Psychologist with interest and
enthusiasm to work in the inreach mental health team at HMP Cardiff
for 5 sessions a week.
Your work will involve providing high quality psychological
assessment and interventions to prisoners in HMP Cardiff and
providing a psychological perspective on the care and management of
offenders. You will be supervised by a consultant clinical and
forensic psychologist based outside the prison and will join a
specialist forensic clinical psychology team comprising in addition a
specialist counsellor and a full time band 7 clinical psychologist.
There are close links between this team and the Directorate of
Clinical Psychology, the South Wales Doctorate in Clinical Psychology
Programme and the centre for family & forensic psychology at
Birmingham University. This is an opportunity to develop clinical
psychology services in custodial settings.
