Assistant Psychologist We are pleased to be able to offer a 9 months fixed-term contract for a Band 5 Assistant Psychologist to join the Denbighshire CAMHS team. Based in the grounds of Glan Clwyd Hospital, Bodelwyddan, this multi-disciplinary team includes three Clinical Psychologists and a permanent Assistant and committed and supportive staff from a range of professional backgrounds. The Denbighshire CAMHS team offers a full range of therapeutic services to school-aged children and adolescents and their families referred with a broad range of emotional and behavioural difficulties. Under regular supervision from the Principal Clinical Psychologist, the postholder would be expected to offer intensive psychological support to identified families. There will be the scope to develop skills in psychometric testing, psychological assessment, and the delivery of specific individual and family-based interventions. You will be actively encouraged to work with colleagues across all disciplines within the multi-disciplinary team and should be able to demonstrate the ability to do so. There will also be the opportunity to participate in audit, service development and research projects. Applicants should have a Psychology degree (2.1 or higher) and significant experience of working therapeutically with children and adolescents is highly desirable.
