The Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust encompasses the Tavistock Clinic and the Portman Clinic. It provides multi-disciplinary clinical mental health services for adults, adolescents and children and their families, and postgraduate training for a wide range of caregivers in the field of mental health. The post-holders will be employed by the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust where they will be a member of the Child & Family Directorate.
Haringey Health Visiting Service is based in 5 Community Health Centres, across the Borough. The service has a fixed-term vacancy for a Child psychotherapist to provide consultation to the 5 health visiting teams and their team leaders in small discussion groups.
The aim is to support their work with parents, babies and children under five. The post-holder will also be required to arrange a programme of lectures for the Health Visitors’ Forum, on relevant topics.
We are looking for a flexible clinician, able to work independently as a sole consultant, and collaboratively with the health visitor managers, to implement this brief piece of consultation work successfully.
The successful candidate will need to negotiate the times of the team discussion meetings with the relevant team leaders; there is some flexibility regarding days and times available for these meetings. The Health Visitors’ Forum is held monthly, alternately on Monday and Thursday mornings. Depending on the programme, the post holder may not need to be present at all the lecture events.
