Improving Access to Psychological Therapies
IAPT Psychological Well Being Practitioner
Starting Salary £20,710 - £26,839 (Equivalent to NHS band 5)

Rightsteps is a flagship pilot service developed by Turning Point that will offer new and innovative ways to deliver an integrated, holistic psychological wellbeing service across the UK. We’ll be working in conjunction with a number of PCTs across the nation to ensure that it reaches its full potential. Now we’re looking for you to play your part too.

We’re looking for Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners to provide supervision across the service and deliver low intensity one-to-one interventions to our clients. These key roles will see you designing, shaping and implementing the service, giving you considerable responsibility for ensuring that national Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) guidelines are met and that targets are achieved. Ultimately, you will pull out all the stops to make sure that the needs of vulnerable individuals in the area are addressed in the best possible way.

Educated to degree level and with a Postgraduate Certificate in Psychological Therapies, you will have demonstrable experience within an IAPT or equivalent service and the kind of competencies that will ensure you are BABCP accreditable. Above all, you’ll be passionate about delivering effective mental health services and ready for the challenge of driving change through the system to ensure more people can access support.

If you’re inspired by the social model of mental health that works holistically according to risk and need rather than diagnosis and would like to help us achieve our vision, we can offer a competitive remuneration package, pension scheme, and excellent training and development opportunities.

We are currently recruiting in the following locations: Wakefield, Taunton, Yeovil, Bridgewater, Chard, Bristol, Kingston (Surrey), Belper (Derbyshire), East Sussex (due to open Mar 10).  We would also welcome speculative applications for other locations in order that we may contact you as soon as a suitable vacancy arises.

To apply please forward your completed application form or CV with a supporting statement outlining the reasons why you believe you have the skills to contribute to our vision.  Please quote Reference No R418S2000 and state the location of interest.
