Part-time, 18.75 hours per week fixed term contract to March 2011.
The post advertised is a newly created post within the Multi Agency Support Team (MAST), which is a virtual part time team for children and young people with severe learning disability and severe challenging behaviour. We are seeking to appoint a qualified Clinical Psychologist to provide a highly specialist clinical psychology service.
The post holder will provide specialist psychological assessments, therapy, offer advice and consultation and set up and run parenting groups, under the guidance of the Consultant Clinical Psychologist.
You will be joining an enthusiastic, multi-agency team comprising a Learning Disability Nurse who coordinates the team, an Educational Psychologist, an Advisory Teacher, a Family Support Worker and a Speech and Language Therapist plus supporting administrative staff.
The post is graded at Band 8a (Highly Specialist Clinical/Forensic Psychologist). Applicants who dont fully meet the person specification for the Band 8a post will be considered for the post at Band 7 (Specialist Clinical/Forensic Psychologist), until such time as they fully meet the requirements of the person specification and KSF outline for the Band 8a post.
