Applications are invited for this exciting new post of Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist. We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic colleague who will provide day to day clinical leadership to this new state of the art 15 bedded Low Secure Unit. The new unit is situated at Harperbury near Radlett, Hertfordshire and will provide low secure services for Hertfordshire.
The post holder should have CCST in Forensic Psychiatry and preferably some experience in running a secure service. The successful candidate will work with the team of staff, including a psychologist, occupational therapist and music and art therapist, in addition to the nursing staff. He/she will also work closely with the Consultant Psychiatrist and the team at the PICU that is co-located at the same site.
The Consultant will liaise with Adult Mental Health Services, the Forensic Mental Health Team and the criminal justice system, including probation service and assist an existing multi-disciplinary team in providing a service to the Mount Prison in Bovingdon, Hertfordshire.
