Details: You will work as a member of a multi- disciplinary team, taking a lead in the development and implementation of Blood Borne Virus screening and vaccination services for drug and alcohol users. The post holder will develop the use of specialist healthcare assessments for service users in treatment and take a lead in the systematic delivery of health promotion and harm reduction interventions with this client group. You will act as a specialist resource for staff of Direct Access Substance Misuse Services and partner agencies and will deliver needs lead training sessions to service users and staff as required. You will also be consulted and will participate in deciding strategic direction of public health and harm reduction plans and initiatives.

You will need to have:

¨ RGN qualification
¨ Proven post registration nursing experience
¨ Demonstrable experience and knowledge of hepatitis and/or substance misuse
¨ Experience of working within a community setting
¨ Excellent communication and engagement skills
¨ An ability to be innovative and flexible in practice
¨ Presentation skills
¨ A current driving licence and your own transport
