Details: NHS Trust is the largest Learning Disabilites Directorate, with a critical mass of over 30 psychologists; providing services to children and adults with learning disabilities. We are a supportive directorate and have a track record of staff development and innovation.
Due to staff movement and promotion we have a number of vacancies across the Directorate, which reflects the extent to which psychology is valued (at all levels) and the range of services in which psychology is delivered. We welcome applications from qualified Clinical Psychologists (or those about to qualify in autumn 2008) wishing to develop and or further enhance skills in our speciality. We provide protected supervision, excellent peer support and development opportunities.
This has enabled us to develop a dynamic skills base. The Directorate Psychology service also has an active research agenda with a dedicated post in this area and continues to have an increasing influence on practice.
Equality remains at the centre of the Trust’s policy-making, service delivery and employment practices, and we are committed to ensuring that no job applicant or employee receives less favourable treatment on the grounds of race, colour, ethnic origin, religion or belief, gender, sexual orientation, disability, marital status or age.
The Trust is a Two Tick Disability Symbol user and is committed to fulfilling the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995. Applications are welcomed from Disabled persons and a disability will not prejudice your application. If you are unable to submit your application in the requested format because of a disability as defined by the DDA please contact the Recruitment Team, who will agree a more suitable way for you to apply. All disabled applicants who meet the minimum essential criteria for a position will be invited to attend for interview.
